Petit Bateau

Alongside sustainable clothing for children and teens, this French label also makes pieces for babies and toddlers. Petit Bateau places particular weight on quality and durability, and its pieces are frequently passed down and loved all over again by the next child.

That durability reflects the brand’s broader commitment to preserving nature for generations to come. To keep the making of its garments genuinely traceable, Petit Bateau maintains close transparency around its production process — since 2023, customers have been able to trace the manufacturing journey of each individual piece directly on its product information sheets.

Petit Bateau covers everything from a baby’s very first layette through to age 18, making it a brand that can accompany a child from birth into adulthood.

The brand’s pieces are available in its online shop and Petit Bateau boutiques.

Band of Rascals

Band of Rascals pairs cheerful colors and easygoing prints with sustainability, resulting in tough, cool styles for kids and teens. Since 2014, parents have been won over by the durability of these German-made garments. The brand holds firmly to the belief that fair prices for sustainable clothing should be the standard, not the exception.

Band of Rascals garments carry the GOTS label, a certification reserved for clothing made from 70 to 100 percent organic cotton. The brand also takes responsibility for its workers, committing to fair wages and safe working conditions at its production sites in Portugal.

Its large, varied range consists mainly of basics in a range of colors and appealing prints, with something for every child from age two through to fourteen.

The clothing is available at Band of Rascals’ online shop.

Bonpoint

Bonpoint has stayed true to its values since 1975: precision in beauty, a passion for quality, and painstaking attention to detail in every finish. Today, sustainability sits alongside those founding principles — the children’s and teens’ fashion brand now works with certified natural and organic fibers and recycled materials.

The organic cotton Bonpoint uses in its sustainable children’s and teens’ clothing protects the delicate skin of babies and young children, while the synthetic materials used for water-resistant pieces are made entirely from recycled fibers.

As a brand, Bonpoint stands for elegance, romance, luxury, wit and subtlety, backed by a singular savoir-faire. Creativity and modernity, a discerning eye for material and color, perfect proportions and flawless construction all come together under the Bonpoint name — values, and a distinctly French elegance, reflected throughout its collections.

Bonpoint’s pieces, including the latest collection, are available in its online shop.

Jacadi

Since 1976, Jacadi has been crafting clothing, accessories and shoes for babies and children aged 0 to 12, for everyday wear and for life’s special moments. In its Paris atelier, Jacadi pairs traditional excellence with fine materials, precise cuts and quality construction. Every garment is made with the child’s comfort as the top priority, always in pursuit of outstanding quality.

Jacadi’s signature pieces draw on the classics of French children’s fashion, reinvented anew each season and collection — which keeps the brand feeling both modern and timeless, and worth handing down through generations.

But it isn’t just the concept that pursues longevity and sustainability — the manufacturing does too. Jacadi uses organic cotton throughout its pieces, along with Repreve fiber, made from recycled plastic bottles, as filling. Animal welfare and water conservation in denim production matter just as much: the brand uses no natural fur, and its denim dyeing and washing process uses only half the water of conventional methods.

The brand’s collections can be found in its online shop.

Cosy Roots

Cosy Roots is a young company from Düsseldorf, founded with the goal of making functional, non-toxic baby shoes. The company has since expanded into clothing for the very youngest, made from certified GOTS organic cotton.

Every product is designed in-house, from first concept through to finished piece. Rather than chasing seasonal collections, the focus is on creating pieces that can be worn year-round.

The guiding motto is #slowfashion, and Cosy Roots makes sure every piece can be mixed and matched by color with the rest of the range — so your child’s wardrobe needs only a handful of high-quality pieces to work.

The brand’s products are available in its online shop.

Frugi

Frugi is a British children’s and teens’ fashion brand founded in 2004. What began as an effort to make clothing that worked with cloth diapers has grown into the colorful, playful brand we know today.

The British label proves there’s nothing contradictory about running a great brand both ethically and sustainably. Frugi’s belief is that excellent design, strong ethics and passionate people can genuinely help change the world — which is why the brand relies exclusively on GOTS-certified organic cotton and recycled plastic bottles.

Its clothing is colorful and playful, with genuinely thoughtful design behind it. Frugi promises clothing that grows with your child and is every bit as fun as it is practical. Alongside grow-with-me pieces, the range includes reversible jackets and jackets with removable inserts, so garments can adapt to the situation and to each child’s individual needs.

The children’s clothing is available in Frugi’s online shop.

Pigeon

Pigeon loves designing beautiful collections for the very youngest. The brand pays close attention to the origin of the cotton it uses, where its clothing is made, where it’s sold, and, of course, who ultimately wears it — the result is thoughtful design made from quality, long-lasting materials.

Beyond designing and making clothing, Pigeon looks to make a difference wherever it can. The brand supports women’s shelters and three baby banks, and has sent aid packages to refugee centers in Greece.

Based in Oxford, the brand aims to win people over through the quality and longevity of its products. Pigeon is clear that unlimited growth isn’t the goal — instead, the focus is simply doing what they enjoy, working with people they like, in a way that has a positive impact wherever possible.

The new autumn/winter collection is available from August in Pigeon’s online shop.

TWOTHIRDS

TWOTHIRDS was founded in 2010 by two surfing enthusiasts and has since become an established name in sustainable fashion. The brand makes quality clothing designed to go easy on the ocean, helped along by a visionary pre-order system.

Pre-ordering cuts down on up to 30 percent of the overproduction typical of the fashion industry — customers order exactly what they want at TWOTHIRDS, and only then does production begin. That reduces waste at the production stage, and lets TWOTHIRDS pass on a 20 percent discount on its clothing.

Since 2022, the company has also been B Corp certified, a certification that evaluates a company’s impact across five areas: workers, governance, environment, community and customers. TWOTHIRDS scored particularly well in the customer and governance categories, earning an above-average overall score.

TWOTHIRDS values a personal touch and expert craftsmanship. Production is exclusively based in Europe, which lets the brand guarantee every worker at least a living wage. Quality and durability remain central, reflected both in the materials used and in the brand’s deliberately unhurried production pace.

TWOTHIRDS’ children’s collections can be found in its online shop.
